I’ve never taken a film class before, but I’ve always been particularly fond of film analysis and what people can decipher from the same things I saw. My best friend back home is a big fan of mythology and lots of Greek culture—so I thought I’d take this class to better understand it and join in her excitement.
In general, I love movies, and am always making lists of movies I haven’t seen and want to watch. I think it’s very fun to go online after watching a movie and read all the Easter eggs, mistakes, or deeper-meaning details that u missed. It makes me reflect on what I saw, and it’s like seeing the movie over again in my head.
I’d love to add Greek and Roman culture to this aspect of my life! I used to be a huge history buff in middle school—but fell out of touch with it in high school, and wanna reconnect with that passion. Also, I feel like I’m missing out on a huge part of history by not really knowing anything on this subject, and I want to fill in a little bit of that gap!
